Our Story – Thrive Under Five

For years, our team worked within the local authority, delivering vital family support services funded by the council. We supported countless families across the borough, offering guidance through the early years—from special educational needs (SEN) and behaviour support to sleep routines and breastfeeding advice.

Despite the high demand and positive impact of our work, the council restructured early years services, leading to redeployment across departments. After months of uncertainty, waiting on funding decisions, and not knowing how long we could continue in our roles, we realised something important: our skills are deeply needed—and highly transferable—to the private sector.

So we made the leap.

Thrive Under Five was born out of a desire to continue supporting families without the barriers of long wait times, red tape, or being passed from pillar to post. In the private sector, we can offer what families truly need: timely, honest, and experienced support. We aim to fit you in within the week, provide real-time guidance, and walk with you through the next steps of your parenting journey.
